The Wyss Zurich is a joint accelerator of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. It was established to foster translational research focused on developing treatment protocols and clinical therapies, as well as novel technologies and intelligent systems, in the emerging fields of Regenerative Medicine and Robotics, and hybrid technologies thereof.

The CeNeReg project of Wyss Zurich focuses on the development of an antibody to enhance the regeneration of the injured central nervous system. The project is directly linked the clinical phase II NISCI trial being currently performed under the lead of the University of Zurich in a number of Swiss and European spinal cord injury centers. Job description

  • Planning, controlling and implementation of project strategy
  • Responsibility for project budget and compliance with timelines
  • Management of drug supply for phase II clinical study (NISCI) (i.e. management of service companies for: drug manufacturing, quality control, packaging, labelling and distribution)
  • Filing of regulatory documents, interaction with clinical research organization and European medical authorities
  • Cooperation with Wyss Zurich’s GMP unit (i.e. Regenerative Medicine Technologies Platform)
  • Preparation and review of various GMP documents (e.g. IMPD, study plans/reports, product specification files, risk analyses)
  • Reporting and controlling to Wyss Zurich’s leadership and operation team as well as to NISCI clinical trial consortium
  • Negotiation and contracting of sub-contractors

We offer:

  • A position with a broad scope from project management, strategic planning, financial controlling, GMP work and regulatory duties in direct contact with clinical teams and study nurses.
  • Renumeration and social benefits according to cantonal guidelines.
  • 12 months contracts. Contract extensions depend on project performance.

The starting date is immediately or by mutual agreement.

Your profile

  • Master or PhD degree in life science or medicine
  • Experience in project management and product development
  • Able to work autonomously and take decisions and choices
  • Leadership and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German (C1 level) are a must
