Editorial Assistant

This Editorial Assistant position supports Prof. Renato Zenobi (Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences), who serves as an Associate Editor for the US-based scientific journal “Analytical Chemistry”.

Job description
As of 1.1.2020, we are looking for a part-time (≈ 25%) editorial assistant. The Editorial Assistant corresponds with authors and with the office of the editor-in-chief, and supports the Associate Editor in all aspects of handling manuscripts that were submitted to the journal. The ACS (American Chemical Society) Paragon web environment and email via Microsoft Outlook will be used for communication. Knowledge in science and chemistry is not required.

The schedule for this position is very flexible, requiring only ½ … 1 day per week of presence at ETH (Hönggerberg campus); the majority of the work can be done in a home office setting. The appointment is not permanent, and contingent upon re-election of the Associate Editor by the ACS (usually every 2 years). Candidates with a current ETH employment (who, for example, wish to increase their %) are also encouraged to apply.
