PhD-position in synthetic chemistry/protein modification
Highly interdisciplinary research project (FET-open, Horizon 2020) among three academic institution and two industrial partners for the advancement of radically new mass spectrometry techniques
( Super conducting Ma ss Spectrometry and M olecule A nalysis - see https://supramama.univie.ac.at/about/ ). The workpackage led by the University of Basel is focussed on the development of charge decorated photocleavable tags for peptide and protein modification.
The successful candidate has a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, ideally with experience in chromophore design. An understanding of recombinant protein production would be a definite plus. Project start 01.01.2020. We are looking forward to your application. M. Mayor, V. Köhler.
