Post-doctoral Position in Cardiac Signaling

JOB DESCRIPTION

A postdoctoral position is available from December 2020 for a highly motivated post-doc fellow to join a research group specialized in the characterization of signaling route and therapeutic targets in heart failure. The team is based at the “Institute of Cardiovascular & Metabolic diseases” (Team 7, I2MC) in Toulouse (www.i2mc.inserm.fr), benefits from a quite new laboratory and has access to the shared equipment of the institute and GenoToul multidisciplinary life sciences facilities.

Current work in the lab analyzes the role of cyclic AMP signalosome in cellular processes promoting pathological cardiac remodeling leading to heart failure. We use genetically engineered mice and experimental animal models of heart failure, confocal microscopy, cell culture, biochemistry and state-of-the art molecular and cellular biology techniques.

PhD or MD/PhD is required, with a strong background in cell and molecular biology. Skills on developing in transcriptomic and proteomic techniques will be highly valued.

The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as demonstrate a strong commitment to team based work with strong organization skills.

How to apply: Please, send your application (including a motivation letter, curriculum vitae, technical expertise, list of publications and the names of at least two references) to Dr. Frank Lezoualc’h (Frank.Lezoualch@inserm.fr)
