Programme Director Education

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM, www.ecpm.ch ), located at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel, Switzerland offers a range of graduate and postgraduate Diploma and Master courses in the field of Pharmaceutical Medicine/ Drug Development. Emphasis is placed on organising training courses on the comprehensive path of developing a new molecule and turning it into a new medicinal product for the global market.

Your position

The successful applicant's background and professional experience will allow her or him to design and co-ordinate educational programmes in drug development sciences. Familiarity in handling electronic media (website, newsletter etc) and student management is an advantage. Involvement in academic teaching can be considered.

Your profile

Applicants should hold a doctoral or master's degree in natural sciences or medicine with working experience in drug development. Due to the breadth of topics covered in the ECPM course the ideal candidate has a solid background in academia and research as well as in pharmaceutical medicine, gained, ideally, in both industry and non-industry settings. In addition, project management skills and experience organising international meetings would be useful. Due to the global nature of participants and faculty of the course an international work background would be helpful.
Excellent mastery of oral and written English and German is required.

Salary and terms of employment will be according to the rules of the University of Basel. Start of employment is per agreement.
